Combined Filters VZero Levels Pick 5 The VZero Levels (VTZ-LVL) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
VZero (VTZ) is a different representation of the VTracs (VTX) concept with the difference that the digits start with 0 rather than 1. That simplifies the conversion drastically as the first five digits (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are the same in both number and VZero conversion. The Levels filter is a so called "math filter". Math filters are created through calculations. This filter provides a way to determine the relative "level" (height) of each digit in relation to the others, the lowest digit of a number always being 1. To show you how to calculate the VZero Levels filter for a Pick 5 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 5 VZero Levels Conversion Step 1: Divide 90570 into separate digits: 90570 => 9 0 5 7 0 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 9 = 4 0 = 0 5 = 0 7 = 2 0 = 0 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 4 0 0 2 0 = 40020
Part II: Pick 5 VZero Levels Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 40020 => 4 0 0 2 0 Step 2: Select the unique digits and order from lowest to highest: 4 0 0 2 0 => 0 2 4 Step 3: Assign a level to each digit starting with 1: 0 => 1 2 => 2 4 => 3 Step 4: Convert the number using the table above: 4 0 0 2 0 => 3 1 1 2 1 Step 5: Combine the filters to a string: 3 1 1 2 1 = 31121
