Combined Filters VTracs Front Sums Pick 3 The VTracs Front Sums (VTX-FS) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
The original idea of the VTracs (VTX), standing for variable tracs, was to take the daily lottery and to reduce the number of digits from 10 digits (0 to 9) to 5 digits (1 to 5). The reduction was supposed to simplify the tracking of 1000 Pick 3 numbers to 125 VTracs numbers. In between the VTracs concept was watered down by combining pretty every available filter with VTracs, while originally the idea was to improve the selection of straight numbers. The Front Sums filter is a so called "math filter". Math filters are created through calculations. You get the sum of a number by adding up the digits within that number. The pick 3 is the first digit of that sum. If the sum is only one digit the Front Sums filter returns 0. To show you how to calculate the VTracs Front Sums filter for a Pick 3 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 3 VTracs Front Sums Conversion Step 1: Divide 197 into separate digits: 197 => 1 9 7 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 1 = 2 9 = 5 7 = 3 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 2 5 3 = 253
Part II: Pick 3 VTracs Front Sums Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 253 => 2 5 3 Step 2: Add up the digits: 2 + 5 + 3 = 10 Step 3: Select only the first digit (or use 0 if there is none): 10 = 1
