Combined Filters VZero Distances Pick 5 The VZero Distances (VTZ-DST) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
VZero (VTZ) is a different representation of the VTracs (VTX) concept with the difference that the digits start with 0 rather than 1. That simplifies the conversion drastically as the first five digits (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are the same in both number and VZero conversion.
To show you how to calculate the VZero Distances filter for a Pick 5 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 5 VZero Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide 69131 into separate digits: 69131 => 6 9 1 3 1 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 6 = 1 9 = 4 1 = 1 3 = 3 1 = 1 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 1 4 1 3 1 = 14131
Part II: Pick 5 VZero Distances Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 14131 => 1 4 1 3 1 Step 2: Calculate the distance between each digit and the next (the last digit with the first): 1 to 4 = 3 4 to 1 = 3 1 to 3 = 2 3 to 1 = 2 1 to 1 = 0 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 3 3 2 2 0 = 33220
