Combined Filters VZero Distance Codes Pairs The VZero Distance Codes (VTZ-DSC) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
VZero (VTZ) is a different representation of the VTracs (VTX) concept with the difference that the digits start with 0 rather than 1. That simplifies the conversion drastically as the first five digits (0, 1, 2, 3 and 4) are the same in both number and VZero conversion.
To show you how to calculate the VZero Distance Codes filter for a Pick 2 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pairs VZero Distance Codes Conversion Step 1: Divide 28 into separate digits: 28 => 2 8 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 2 = 2 8 = 3 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 2 3 = 23
Part II: Pairs VZero Distance Codes Conversion Step 1: Divide the number into separate digits: 23 => 2 3 Step 2: Calculate the distance between each digit and the next (the last digit with the first): 2 to 3 => 1 3 to 2 => 1 Step 3: Convert distances to codes (0=E[qual], 1 & 9 = C[onsecutive], 2-8 = N[one]): 1 => C 1 => C Step 4: Combine the filters to a string: C C = CC
