Combined Filters VTracs Root Sums Pick 5 The VTracs Root Sums (VTX-RS) is a so called "combined filter", a combination of a digit and a math filter. It requires two separate parts to create the filter.
The original idea of the VTracs (VTX), standing for variable tracs, was to take the daily lottery and to reduce the number of digits from 10 digits (0 to 9) to 5 digits (1 to 5). The reduction was supposed to simplify the tracking of 1000 Pick 3 numbers to 125 VTracs numbers. In between the VTracs concept was watered down by combining pretty every available filter with VTracs, while originally the idea was to improve the selection of straight numbers. The Root Sums filter is a so called "math filter". Math filters are created through calculations. You get the root sum of a number by first adding up the digits within that number and then adding up the digits of each sum continuously until only one digit is left. To show you how to calculate the VTracs Root Sums filter for a Pick 5 number here an example step by step.
Part I: Pick 5 VTracs Root Sums Conversion Step 1: Divide 29419 into separate digits: 29419 => 2 9 4 1 9 Step 2: Convert each digit to filter: 2 = 3 9 = 5 4 = 5 1 = 2 9 = 5 Step 3: Combine the filters to a string: 3 5 5 2 5 = 35525
Part II: Pick 5 VTracs Root Sums Conversion Step 1: Divide 35525 into separate digits: 35525 => 3 5 5 2 5 Step 2: Add up the digits: 3 + 5 + 5 + 2 + 5 = 20 Step 3: Divide 20 into separate digits: 20 => 2 0 Step 4: Add up the digits: 2 + 0 = 2
